INSTRUCTIONS
- For Red card base, cut RED cardstock into half (8-1/2" x 5-1/2") and fold in half to make 4-1/4" x 5-1/2' card. Cut another piece of RED into a 2-1/8" square. Set both aside.
- Cut BLACK cardstock into a 3-3/4' x 5" piece and a 1-7/8" square. Set both aside.
- Cut WHITE cardstock into 4-1/2" x 5-1/2" piece (a quarter of a sheet) and stamp with Oriental Fan Background stamp using red pigment ink. When dry, trim piece to 3-1/4" x 4-1/2". Wrap this
piece with black ribbon (see photo for placement) and secure in back with tape.
- Cut another piece of WHITE cardstock into a 1-3/8" square. Stamp this piece with the Fortune Chop rubber stamp in red pigment ink. Heat emboss with clear embossing powder. Punch all corners
with double-notch punch. Set aside.
- Adhere all pieces with double sided tape, layering pieces as shown by card photo or as follows: Red card base, large black piece, Oriental Fan piece (already wrapped with ribbon), small red piece, small
black piece, and small white piece (stamped with Fortune Chop).
- For dark cards, I always line the inside of the card with white paper so that I can write my message. To do this, cut copy paper to 5" x 8". Fold in half and secure to inside of card with 2 small pieces of
tape.
