"The great option with this card design is that it may be made from any size paper with any portion of the interior revealed depending on the images used and the size of the folds.
Fold and score white sheet of
cardstock allowing for two side panels and a mid-portion of the inside exposed. Cut two strips of the blue cardstock for the inside panel and the right front panel. The inside panel gets stamped with Japanese Woman in
both the Blanco and blue pigment inks and then CELEBRATE in the blue pigment which is then embossed. The right front panel receives the Lantern in both the Blanco and blue pigment inks as well. On the blank, left
portion of the card, stamp the Chinese Boy in blue pigment and emboss. Assemble all cardstock pieces using glue stick with the exception of the right panel which is secured with the foam tape for added dimension and
interest.
Make your china shards from the following process and once completed affix to right front panel with glue and enjoy!
To create the "Faux China Shards"
Cut or tear the white shrink plastic into irregular
shapes, keeping in mind they will truly shrink to about 60% of their former size. Ink chosen images in blue Fabrico ink as once this is impressed into the hot shrink plastic, the color will remain intact. No need for
pre-sanding, simply heat the plain bits of plastic using your heat gun and after the shrinking process is complete and the piece lies flat, immediately place your inked images in the hot shard. Leave for a few seconds
and remove from stamp and you now have a gorgeous china shard! Faux or not, it's terribly effective for a little added extra dimension and finish to any project!"
